Marcie began her career as a graphic designer in 2003, which led to a position as an Art Director for a publishing company in Fairfield, CT. During this time she met her husband Michael who was also in the creative field, working as a freelance fashion photographer. Very inspired by Michael’s images and creative genius as a photographer, she asked for her first DSLR camera. With a quick lesson from Michael, she started shooting landscape and floral images, and later began taking pictures with Michael of close friends. Her passion for capturing beautiful moments grew into a career together as wedding photographers, and the inception of their new company, “Maler Photography.”
A year later Marcie and Michael booked enough weddings for her to quit her job and do photography full time. While their focus was mainly weddings, Marcie developed a passion for all different types of portrait photography. At this time, the scope of work is of newborns, family, and children. Marcie loves working with children of all ages. She is easy going, very patient and is always looking to take her photography and creative skills to the next level.
