Anthony’s Ocean View New Haven CT Wedding | Phylicia & Sean

Where do I even begin with the last wedding of 2016?! I am still in shock over the first dance I think? Phylicia and Sean, as well as the bridal party, family, and vendors were all such a pleasure to work with. This always makes our job that much easier of course!

To start the day, I met Phylicia and the ladies at the Study at Yale Hotel in New Haven. Wow, the view and the lighting in the penthouse couldn’t have been better. What a perfect room to get ready in. Once all the girls were dressed and ready, Phylicia met her dad downstairs and the bridal party headed onto the bus to get to the Church of St. Aedan in New Haven for the ceremony. We needed to make sure we would have enough light for the formals at Yale’s campus, so they were right on time! The ceremony concluded and we did a few family photos inside before the next stop, Yale’s Campus (Wall Street). I couldn’t believe how perfect the timing was once we arrived at Yale for the formals. Between the massive bridal party, single shots with each bridesmaid and groomsman and the couple’s formals, we wrapped up just before the sunset.

When we got to Anthony’s Ocean View it was a winter wonderland. So cozy, bright, and white…they even had a snow machine. When we spoke with the DJ, he warned us of a surprise guest singing their first dance song. We thought that was pretty cool and didn’t think much of it. Next thing you know the bride and groom are being announced and Nick Fradiani shows up to sing “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur (one of my favorites songs at the time!). The best man had arranged this special surprise for them. I think I blacked out slightly during that time. Luckily the images still came out great! Phylicia and Sean, thank you so much for having us capture your special day. You are a beautiful couple inside and out and I hope you enjoy the sneak peeks. Many more to come!
