Engagement Session Essex CT | Francine & Dominick

Truth be told… we have been dying to release these photos! If you follow our Facebook page, then you probably saw a sneak peek that we posted a little while back. So where do we begin?! Francine and Dominick are from central New York and made their way to Connecticut for their engagement session. Pretty straight forward right? Here is where things get fun. From the get go, Francine has always expressed an interest in creative, story-driven photos. Jackpot!

So we thought about it. What can we do that is different, fun, and timeless? The idea for this one hit us pretty quick. We have been wanting to shoot a pseudo “Water for Elephants” themed session for quite some time. If you haven’t seen the movie, go rent it immediately – it’s amazing. As for our location, our brother-in-law Paul has offered us access to the Essex Steam Train for quite sometime. Personally, we wanted to wait for the right idea and right time – and this was the perfect storm. So after running the idea by Francine and Dominick, the planning had begun.

After creating a moodboard on Pinterest and a few conversations surrounding style and wardrobe… the day finally arrived. We are pretty sure Francine brought her entire closet. Literally. We are still not sure how they fit all of her dresses, shoes, props, etc. in their SUV. And how could we not participate in the fun?! You know you have problems when we are still purchasing props on the way to the shoot… but that’s neither here nor there.

So let’s get to the images shall we? Francine and Dominick… we had an absolute blast! We hope you love the images and cannot wait for your wedding! A huge thanks to Paul for hooking us up with the location and our assistant Rob for helping out.
