I knew Kara and Mike would be a blast to work with after meeting them at previous weddings and during their engagement session. Such a sweet, happy, and appreciative couple and you can see the love they have for each other very clearly. My hubs Mike shot this wedding with me and I must say he got some pretty amazing shots.
Kara and her bridesmaids got pampered and ready at Hair Chateau in Hamden, then headed to her parents house to get dressed. The ceremony was at The Church of the Holy Trinity in Middletown. So many amazing moments caught during the ceremony, it was hard to pick just a few! After the ceremony we headed to Eagle Landing by the Riverhouse for formals then did a few pics of Kara & Mike up by the bridge. It was a bright and sunny day in July, not a cloud in the sky and not much shade to work with so we had the count going “1, 2, 3 ok open your eyes!” to try and avoid squinting or blinking. We then headed to the Riverhouse so Kara and Mike can enjoy the beautiful cocktail hour on the patio with the steel drum band going before announcements and speeches.
The speeches were hilarious, as you can see from the images here (including Kara’s Dad’s speech)! I mean, I was laughing pretty hard with everyone else haha. Once the sun lowered we grabbed Kara & Mike for pictures in the grassy field next door. Pretty amazing what just a grassy field can do! Music by LocalMotion never disappoints. Fun, loud, perfect for dancing and capturing great pics. Congrats Kara & Mike, we hope you enjoy your wedding gallery and hope to see you at future weddings! Here are just a few of our favorites!

WOW! The pictures are unbelievable. It’s going to be hard to select the ones for the album.
