Mike and I have been to the Society Room several times, but surprisingly this was the first time we shot a wedding there! It’s seriously such a beautiful building with an unforgettable back drop. We still can’t believe it was once a bank!
Ashley and her girls got ready at Hair Chateau in Hamden before we headed to the bridal suite at the Society Room. As usual, they did a fabulous job! I always love chatting with the stylists there, since that is where I get my hair done. Once we got to Hartford Mike met the guys and I continued to capture the details and the girls getting ready in the suite. Ashley surprised Erick with a pretty serious gift – Yankees vs Red Sox tickets and an autographed baseball. Once everyone was dressed and ready we set up a first look right outside the venue. I loved the brick road and the turquoise shop across the street, it was nice to be able to do all the formals right there!
The ceremony took place inside and was very special. Ashley and Erick filled sand jars together as well as placed love letters in a box which are going to be read 5 years from now, and then to continue this tradition every 5 years beyond that. What a great idea! After the sun went down a bit we stepped outside for family photos, bridal party and a few more of the bride and groom. Then got on with dinner and the dance party. Everyone had a blast on the dance floor!
Congrats Ashley and Erick! Thank you for waiting patiently for this sneak peek! We wish you all the best in the years ahead! Enjoy!
